My approach to teaching is to make learning fun by customizing
the lessons to the students musical taste. I teach all of the basics
(proper technique, rudiments, coordination and music reading)
while teaching songs and styles of the students choosing. To
create a more rounded musician I expose my students to different
types of drumming and help incorporate it into their own style of
playing.
In 2000 I was hired by Digevent to create my own online drum
show that I titled The Drum Beat with David Hall. The show ran for
two years and was a weekly live interactive hour program where I
taught all types of drumming. In 2005 I created my first drum book
~ Rock Beats in 4/4 Time.
